iOn1c Jailbreaks His iPad 3 on iOS 5.1.1 [Image] AND [Download]
A series of interesting news rolling out today. Just a few hours ago, Apple released the new iOS 5.1.1 bringing several improvements to fix issues with the iPad 3, and now we get more news that hacker iOn1c has posted an image on Twitter of his jailbroken iPad 3 on iOS 5.1.1.
It is worth mentioning that iOn1c did the same thing with iOS 5.1, but the release date for the jailbreak tool was never. So, the odds are he is just teasing again. iOn1c posted an image of his device running iOS 5.1.1 on Cydia 1.1.6.
For now, if your device is jailbroken untethered on iOS 5.0.1, don`t upgrade to the new firmware since there is still no jailbreak and we have no word from the jailbreak community whether Pod2g`s iOS 5.1 jailbreak exploit will work with the new firmware or not.
iOS 5.1.1 changelog:

- Addresses bugs that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks
