Boot 2 Gecko" Mobile Web OS from Mozilla

We know about Mozilla Foundation it is a non-profit organization which exists to support & provide leadership for the open source Mozilla project's.

The Mozilla is famous for its widely used Web browser called Mozilla Firefox and the Email Client called Mozilla Thunderbird.

There were several rumors over the Internet that Mozilla will be launching its own cell phone brand called Mozilla Seabird. But that was not just a rumor. Before introducing a phone Mozilla thinks about having there own Operating system for the phones.

So here it is, the World's first web based Operating system the "Boot 2 Gecko" which called as "B2G" from Mozilla.

Mozilla officials told that Mozilla is still working on this Operating System. So a web based OS means that you will have a unique user name and password to login just like you use a Google Chrome OS in the Chrome Book. So you will be on-line all the time. which means once you swtich on the phone you will boot directly to the web.

Some experts says that it will be the successor of Android. We cannot tell that because we know the real status of Android OS. But as the Mobile technology is developing in every second there have to be a successor then only we can develop new technologies.

Mozilla is developing new API [Application programming interface] for camera, telephone & SMS .

Now the Developers are working on mobile OS basic features , like contacts & phone functionalities. By the end of the year M ozilla is getting everything ready for the product demo.

In the Operating system Mozilla used Android for drivers & booting up the device .The phone will have HTML5 too.

One thing is sure, Mozilla made a brave entry into a mobile market with a Web based OS.

Lets wait and see who will win this War. Is it the Android, iOS and Windows phone or the B2G.
