7 Apps You Don’t Want to Miss

Gabi
Gabi launched this week for the iPhone, and gives users a new way to visualize and interact with Facebook. Unlike other apps that just read your feed, Gabi uses a language processor to analyze your feed, letting you ask specific questions, such as “Who likes my photos the most” to sort information based on what’s important to you.

Angry Birds Seasons
Everyone’s favorite Angry Birds are back this week in the next installment of the franchise’s Angry Birds Seasons app. The app updates each season with new boards for the game, this time taking the birds to Piglantis, where they have to not only battle the pigs in the air but also the water as well.

Art of Rap
Love to Rap? A new app for Android and iPhone provides beats for rappers to use to create their own lyrics. Artists can record tracks using the app and then publically release them for others to listen to on the app, or the website for the documentary Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap.

Waze
Social GPS and live traffic app Waze is getting a little smarter. It now offers real-time gas prices and fuel discounts, in addition to driving directions and traffic information. The app lets you check out gas prices near you, or even find those that will be physically on your route, and also offers discounts at the pump for Waze drivers using the app.

Martha Stewart CraftStudio
Martha Stewart now has her own iPad app. Free until July 8th, the app lets you create paper craft projects such as cards, scrapbook pages, and invitations and then share them with friends, print them out, or have them professionally printed.

HotelTonight
Last-minute hotel booking app HotelTonight extended its service into Europe this week, now offering last-minute deals on hotels in London. Unlike other discount booking services, the Android and iPhone app offers deals on just three handpicked hotels each day. Bookings can be made anytime between noon and 2am, allowing users to get deals even after other discount sites have shut their doors for the day.

Tumblr
Tumblr’s iPhone app saw a significant update this week. Mimicking many of the features already available in its Android app, the updated version of the app has a sleeker dashboard, Spotify support, and new post forms. The entire app is also optimized for speed, offering a significant speed enhancement over the previous version.
